Carbs, Carbs, Carbs!!

Today was a fairly easy to follow day. I got to sleep in :) 
Food: Breakfast- Oatmeal, 3 sausage links, and a glass of milk
          Lunch: Potato soup, mixed veggies
          Dinner: Ham Sandwich and garlic potatoes
          Snack: Popcorn, Venti Soy Caramel Macchiato Triple Shot
I had way too many carbs today and not enough veggies/fruit. 
Workout: None! 

I've been pretty tired today and have had a headache most of the day. I meant to take pictures but didn't because I forgot until I was almost done eating. Ooops!

2012 Already??

In my pathetic attempt to make a resolution I decided to start blogging again. Will it stick? I'll be honest, I have no idea. I'm going to try to blog everyday. I want to eventually start taking pictures of my meals for accountability and posting them.  
Today I ate.....let's not even go there. I will start logging tomorrow. Didn't I say that yesterday? 
Workout: Elliptical 30 minutes and various weight things. My arms are sore! I spent most of my time at the gym looking at boys....ooops LOL
I can't help but think how nice it would be to have an elliptical at home...*dreaming*

Lent

Lent is here again. It came at a perfect time! I planned to give up sugar but decided to start small. I gave up sweets/ dessert and shopping. It has come to my attention that I not only eat sweets a lot but I shop a lot. Enough that I would call it an addiction. I have gone cold turkey! So far I find myself itching not for the sweets but to buy something! I figure I can save quite a bit in the next forty days! I was planning to buy a kindle next week but that is now on hold :) What did you give up?

On another note I'm sick. I've been sick since Monday. Ick! I can't seem to get over it. I have a stuffed up nose like I can't breathe at all. My throat hurts from drainage and every time I cough i wanna barf. TMI lol

I haven't been hungry this week but I have been trying to eat at least something. I don't know if I have lost or gained or what because I think I'm retaining water from this cold.

I have been super tired and all I want to do is sleep...so of course I haven't made it to the gym. I miss it though because it is an outlet for me. I have shopping gone so now I am relying on my other outlet. working out. I suppose its a good thing I can't because now I'm forced to rely on God. Anyway! I'm just RAMBLING! Good night all :)

Random Ramblings

Sorry guys! I haven't posted in awhile. I got so busy with school, working out and keeping on top of chores! Its sad the only time I can find to blog today is 7:30 am. Oh well!

This week was good :) I worked out like I said I was going to! I ran on monday for 3 miles...okay I walked some haha I went to class on tuesday wednesday was an off day and yesterday I went to class. This morning I plan to run another 3 miles about. Shouldnt be too bad other than the fact I'm a bit sore.

Food wise I did okay. The girl scout cookies came in and that have been hard on me! They just sit there and call my name all day. It's really bad. We went out last night and ate mexican yum! I got fajitas. The begining of the week we ate pasta twice. Typically I'm against that but I didn't over do it.

A friend of mine and I are going today to sign up for some cake decorating classes. I love working with cake so this will be awesome! I will be tempted every thursday for a piece of yummy cake. Anyone have a low calorie or sugar free recipe for white cake? I'm excited :)

I'm up 2 pounds this week. I just can't seem to shake them. I will have to re-evaluate my calories for next week.  I have been drinking my water this week though :) I have been drinking between 10-12 cups each day! That has helped a ton with gaining from weight training ie: retaining water!

Oh! Totally off topic but I just checked the weather...its going to be 50 today its already 41 :) yay!  I'm so happy!! I love warm weather! That's it for today :) Bye!!

Lemonade, Sitting, and Ice cream

I must start by saying I did fairly well today calorie wise until after my late afternoon melt down. I ate dinner and that wall all fine and dandy but then there was a nice big ice cream cone. I enjoyed every second on it and that is all that counts =P

I sit here sipping my calorie free lemonade I made earlier. I love it :) I'm also watching Letters to Juliet. Great movie so far :)

As you might be able to tell I have no clue what to talk about in this blog.

I cleaned part of the house today! I felt a bit accomplished. Although I'm still incredibly sore. It hurts to walk, sit, stand, well to do anything in general!

I guess that's enough babbling for today!

Ow.

I haven't posted in a few days because I have been busy with school and working out. I haven't been on plan totally eating wise. I'm disappointed in only myself for that. I started a notebook today tat I plan to write everything I eat in. I recommit myself right here right now to weighing and writing down everything I plan to eat. I also need to keep drinking my water. I tend to forget to drink it. haha


I went to my cardio circuit sculpt class that I usually take but haven't been able to due to my ankle. Let me first say that it was great to be back and see the people! The workout was AMAZING! We did kettlebell. I LOVE kettlebell. (I plan to have a friend of mine take an all kettlebell class with me!) To even begin to explain how sore I am I have to tell you that it hurt to walk down the stairs after class. Now 12 hours later it hurts to sit, stand, walk....do anything! My legs are the worst but my abs are killing me. We did planks which I used to be good at and could hold for awhile. I held it as long as i could and wanted to cry! My abs need some serious work. Maybe I should start doing planks every day? I think so :)
I was worried about how my ankle would feel after that but It feels great! I'm going to keep watching it and making sure I don't re-injure it!


I want to start making Fridays my official weigh in day. I also think that I will skip this week. I will NOT weigh in until the 25th of February. After that it will be every Friday :)

A night with my sister

Okay so as I talked about in yesterdays blog I spent the whole night with just Olivia and I. It was fun to say the least! We started the afternoon off with me picking her up from school. We then came home and I did her hair/ nails and got myself ready. We went out to a local Mexican restaurant for dinner! On the way home we stopped to get some crazy makeup! (Her idea to do some crazy makeovers pictures below!) We also stopped and rented a ton of movies! After we did makeovers we ate some cheesecake and cookies and cream ice cream. We watched Beverly Hills Chihuahuas 2 and Ramona and Beezus. We stayed up until about 11. There were a few tears from her because she was so tired but other than that we had a ton of fun! This morning I made Cinnamon rolls and for lunch we headed over to taco bell. Olivia's favorite place to eat.
I know what you are thinking- That was a bit off plan. Yup, Sure was. It was so worth it though! I can't believe I used to eat like this everyday! That is about it for today :)

Chocolate Cake, Being Sore, and Clothes

Chocolate Cake. It's my weakness what can I say? I'm girl that's how life is! I found a recipe and I'm dying to try it. It's not on plan but I don't think anything I've ate today has been. I've been back on plan for a short number of days and today has already been deemed a high calorie day. Last night for dinner I had Mexican food. My sister and I are having a girl's night tonight. Last night while at the store I bought cheese cake, some candy, and ice cream. She decided that we would again go get Mexican food for dinner. It bothers me that I'm going off plan so far but It's just for a night and I know I'm capable of getting back on plan Saturday. After typing this all out and reading it I think I will wait to make the cake- it really isn't worth it! I will for sure take pictures of our night together and post them!

In yesterdays blog I talked about how I went back to the gym for the first time. I have to say my arms are SORE! From the back of my shoulders down to my elbows. I did weight training and now I'm just sore. All over. I love it and hate it at the same time. I know after a few more times of going I will be addicted to the gym again and for me that is a good thing! I didn't go to the gym today because of how sore I am but tomorrow I will probably try to go.

Clothes. I want to touch on clothes because they frustrate me in so many ways. Why is it that every store can't have the same sizing? I mean really I shouldn't have to be in 5 different sizes for 5 different stores! Shoes don't work that way. Maybe that is why I prefer shoe shopping over shopping for any clothes.

Back to the gym

Let's start my first blog by writing my goal :)
1. Get in Shape!
2. Run a half-marathon
3. Lose some weight! Mainly about 80-90 pounds!
4. Go to the gym 5 days a week
5. Count Calories everyday

Now that I have that out of the way let me get started :) I've lost 18 pounds since October 2010. I've been going to the gym consistently since September 2010! That's a big thing for me because I never used to work out. I love it now! My progress was halted though at the end of November 2010 because I injured my ankle running. I'm happy to say that I am now officially back to going to the gym! I went today for an hour and a half! It was so amazing to be back!
I started counting calories again yesterday. It was so hard. I was so hungry all day for some reason! I ate a ton of food so I think it may have been because it's so cold outside and I just want to stay inside and eat.
I made a low-cal chicken tortilla soup yesterday for dinner and it went over well for pretty much everyone! I think we will have it again in the next few weeks. :)
